    RESEARCH FOCUS

The main purpose of my research is to elucidate the mechanisms of gas-phase atmospheric chemical reactions of aromatic hydrocarbons, including selected PAHs, with OH radicals, especially focusing on the effects of NO2 on these reactions.  The reaction products to be emphasized in the measurements are glyoxal, methylglyoxal, and nitrated aromatic hydrocarbons including nitro-PAHs.
